In 2019 our family started to work on a big ambitious project that consisted of bringing the virtual kitchen to Guatemala, a Virtual—also called cloud or ghost—kitchens are stripped-down commercial cooking spaces with no dine-in option. Functioning as hubs for online delivery and catering orders, only, they circumvent the need for costly buildouts in premium locations. Less prime real estate also means more space to accommodate delivery and catering vehicles.

The fundamental basis of the business is Faith in Jesus. We trust and place the entire business model in Him.

The challenge with this project was the fact that we had to create a virtual restaurant that gave the customers a dine experience in their house, bringing burgers as fresh and hot as we could, changing the classic mentality that delivery food is trashy especially in Guatemala that is a huge capital for food and traditional dine-in experiences.We nail it, we develop a special packaging that keeps the burgers hot but at the same time it allows the airflow so the bread doesn’t get humid giving the best experience possible, also, we showcase the burgers as if we were an existing restaurant trying to not go that far on the digital spectrum and scare the customers away with this only digital experience, the photo shootings where planned so we could showcase the burgers on a bright location giving a rustic touch always keeping the burger as the main character.The project was a success thanks to the visual approach we give to the “restaurant” I bet you wouldn’t think this is a virtual restaurant that only works in the delivery platforms either.
